I thought it might be interesting to see some stats on drivers with classic car insurance.

I had to go with pie as I don't have classic insurance. I'm still with State Farms but have been considering switching to a classic insurance. I wish I could get insurance through NCR but they don't offer it for my state..

How did you get classic car ins from State Farm? When I got my renewal policy and it said my 69 400hp Tri-Power convt was only worth $6000 They told me they didn't sell classic car ins. I changed co's. Insured for $45000 now.

I have Classic/Collector car insurance on my 69 and 08, no claims myself but I have a couple of friends that have filed claims.
First has a 64 and clipped the post on his garage pulling in, it was a small claim and they paid 100% no deductible.
Second has a rare 94 and was rear ended. The other insurance company wanted to total the car and pay a very small sum compared to what the car was really worth. His collector car insurance paid to repair the car at his preferred shop under his uninsured/under insured motorist coverage. Again no out of pocket cost and then they subrogated against the other company.
I would not want to leave home without agreed value insurance on my Vettes. Mine are not daily drivers and I do not have NCM insurance. My policy allows me to take pleasure drives, weekend outings, and does not limit mileage.
