Sparks at +ve terminal
when I tried to start my vette I got a spark at the positive terminal.
I have trimmed the main battery leads & replaced the terminal clamps & fully charged the battery. I was going to replace the short, 6"ish, wire/fusible link that goes between the junction pin/block & battery as well with a new fusible link.
I took the old wire /fusible link to a auto electrician & he said its not a fusible link.
Is the wire between the junction block & battery meant to be a fusible link or wire?
& what size/amperage?
any photos are other info would be greatly appreciated.

Was this a one time occurence? If so you may have had a poorly contacting clamp that has now been corrected by replacing it.

Thanks for answering.
I think you are right, the clamps were rough as were the wire ends.
But I really want confirmation on whether the link wire is meant to be a fusible link or wire & what size.
With all the resto's on here I thought someone would have the answer or a photo
its an 1980

I might suggest that you post a picture of both the wire and the junction box that you're talking about. If you mean the fuse box, the power should be coming from the fusible link from the starter, not directly from the battery. What you have may be aftermarket.
