It turned out to be a stingray yep. Not sure what year it is though because he couldn't remember, anywho it's not registered in CA. He brought it with him when he moved from Wisconsin. Also, how did you get your hands on a split window man? soooo lucky.

You say BS, but I'm 16 years old and told the old man how much I'd love this car and I lowered him from $1500 to $800, and then he said "you know what I'll give it to ya for $600" and I was stoked, the man looks in his late 80s and he told me that he'd rather have it put into good use and let me have it for $600 than keep in front of his driveway rotting and doing nothing for the next years.

Good luck with the car I say grab it if you can. Are you from California?

This is almost as good as the 'free C3' thread! If this is legit (?), then, imagine a 16 year old, with a C3, that has sat outside for a decade! He'd better have rich parents and a place to work on it. Or he's going to work after school and every last dime he makes, is going to be voraciously consumed by that car. If he's that dedicated and has the will power to learn (that is, if this isn't a BS thread...), then he'll come out the other side, nine or ten years from now. Maybe somebody should tell him about rust and the birdcage, now...

So, some old man in my neighborhood has an early 70s late 60s Orange C3 (I don't think it's a stingray) parked outside of his house, and he's had it parked in the same position ever since I moved into the neighborhood (9 Years ago). It's been under a tree in shade for a while so little paint loss and little rust as I looked around it. Anyways, he said he could give it to me for $600. It seems in good condition and engine seems dusty a bit but everything looks intact, he says it has just under 40k original miles and he just never drove it for over 20 years. Is it a good deal? also can someone give me a resale value on it? Thanks.

I am a little sad to have spent all my hard -earned money, but today I can out-figure any little problem, any tricky thing, fix that gadget- while others look on and say 'how did you figure that out?' I say it was from those young years.
NOW YOU WHIPPERSNAPPER op - PICS or B.S!

Didn't we all work for our cars back then? Only the rich kids had the newest Hondas back in high school; the rest of us had to make due with Camaros, Chevelles, Mustangs and Chargers!

Still haven't seen a picture of this parked car. Not one. What's up with that?
The OP can post pics of other cars so we have witnessed that he knows how to. Once we see clear images of side, front, and rear, we'll let you know what year you're looking at and if it was badged as a Stingray.
Interior shots will go a long way to ID any options too, so get some of those, "while you're at it".
V-B-5869 is a closet trust-fund baby so he can afford his toys, right Sir? You only moderate these boards from the goodness of your heart to safely direct the Corvette community and he helps frail old ladies cross busy streets, too.
(hey, we know you bust your behind and are a shrewd purchaser of a SWC but the OP doesn't know that yet)
