Default 68 t-top bushings

Are the T-Top bushings for the 68 one year only, or will bushings from 69 on up work? Mine are completely gone so I don't know what they look like.

I believe the 68's were different, than the ones in MelWff's post, but they should work. I think the 69-82 bushings are a little deeper, than the 68's, and I'm sure the 68's had the flange on the bottom of them.

Yeah, I keep getting conflicting stories. One corvette place says they are different, and another says they are the same. Guess I will just have to purchase them and see if they fit.

The later Corvette Parts Books, lists them as 68-82, so I'm pretty sure they'll work. It just seems to me that 68's actually looked more like the 63-67 bushings originally.

I don't have a 68 Parts Book, the oldest I have is a 69 and a 72. The 72 is the only one I can get to right now, and it lists the one in the link for 68 and up. This is typical of Chevrolet though. If a later part will work, they'll substitute it for an earlier part, especially if the differences are just superficial or visual.

J&D corvette lists them as 69-82, hence the confusion, but if they fit in the hole and keep the top tight...

Default 68 t-top bushing

Is this what the 68 bushings are supposed to look like? They were listed as 63-68 hard top/ soft top guide bushings.

a hard top/soft top is referring to a convertible not a T-Top

Those look different than the ones I installed.
Mine press fit in and grabbed on the underside.
Those don't have the retaining tabs on the bottom.
Should be easy enough to find on ebay or vendor site.

Thanks, I've seen the ones you were talking about, listed as 69-82 bushings, and I heard someone else say something about 68 bushings being flanged on the bottom. Just trying to clear up what the originals look like. I didn't know they made a removable hard top for the 68, so when I saw these I thought they might be the correct ones, but they don't really look like they would stay put, like the 69-82 bushings with the split tabs on the bottom.

Well, the 69-82 bushings fit my 68 like a champ. One more post that can be put to rest.
