Default exterior color decisions...ughhh...HELP

So, we are now at the point where we are deciding on the exterior color of our 1972. My dad and I have gone back and forth with different color blues. I love the Jewel blue color of the 1962 vette. My dad likes some camero color called maui blue. I would like to get some professional opinions on what you guys think.

Our interior will be the color Neutral.

1961 Jewel blue

1988 Camero Maui Blue

Well, I'm not a professional but of the two I think the Maui Blue would look better on a C3. The 62 Jewel Blue is absolutely beautiful on that car and it's very classy, keeping with the classy, elegant lines of the later C1s. But the C3's more aggressive body lines, to me, demand a more eye-catching, bright color.

In the end though, it's your car: paint it how you want it.

What we think doesn't matter much. It's not our car. You and your Dad need to pick a color.

the original was the war bonnet yellow with a saddle interior, then it was painted black.
Now we are thinking of painting it a 1970 marlboro maroon....we have to decide today...this is a tough decision...lol

The War Bonnet yellow is a great color for a 72.

we could not agree on the blues. This is more of my dad's dream vette than my dream vette. My dream vette is the late 50's early 60's models. He likes the stingrays. So, I'm giving up on trying to make the 72 look like my dream car...lol

Ok I'll throw in on this, so War Bonnet is not the color but I haven't heard that you hated it so why not warm it up and give it some depth ... "Tiger Shark Yellow"!

Just my two cents ... you still have pennies south of the boarder I believe!

My '71 is painted Marlboro Maroon. Even though that color was not offered in '71 I really do like it better than the Brand Hatch green that was the original color.

Every C3 in the world should be blue. We all know it. If you own a Wubby...or Ontario... or even Race me Red..you secretly want your C3 to be blue. Paint it blue...cause after if you don't you will be blue.

Sorry for the thread jack.

But I like this. Maybe adapting the idea to a 80-82 bumper. Hmmm

Ok back to or regular scheduled program!
