Default Looking for a source for a long shank lug nut

Hello all! Stripped out one of my lug nuts and I'm having a hard time finding a replacement. It's a 7/16-20 with a 1-5/8 shank. The longest I can find is 1-3/8 shank. Any suggestions?

Not sure what other wheels it fits but it fits the one on my '75 (pic below). The previous owner said they were Cragars but I cannot find anything on the Cragar site that looks like these.

Someone said they look a lot like Weld Pro Star's . Searching the Weld site, I think that is what they are. The web page says:Mag style lug nut required 1.310" to 1.375 shank length.. I wonder if that would be long enough. Not sure why they would have installed longer lug nuts if not necessary.

In my re-evaluation of this situation, I've decided to install longer wheel studs. While not the easiest solution, it is the better solution. Anyone know the diameter of the knurled part of a stock stud?

Those are a Cragar wheel, but yes they do look like Weld Pro Stars. The Cragar version is chrome plated steel, the Weld version is polished aluminum.

They are called Cragar Street Stars.

Here's a link: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/crr-3415834

You really should be running the correct length lugs for the wheel - listed on the Summit site as 1.300-1.380 in.

As a side note - please tell the shop that is doing your wheel balancing to stop hammering weights on the outside of the rim, and to use stick on weights on the inside.

Very cool! Thank you for that information. There are spacers on the wheels and that's the need for the longer shank lug nuts.

No problem - hope that helps some. Try looking around on the Summit website for the lugs.
