1971 heater/fan control light
Hi, I have my shifter plate off on my 1971 corvette automatic. The heater ac fan controller has a light in it. The problem that Iam having is where does the light plug into the housing of it. I see a place on the right forward side and It fits good but when I go and put the shifter plate back the ash tray lighter mount on the shifter plate knocks it off. When I managed to squeeze it in the right wheel on the heater ac fan control will not turn free. Does anyone know if there is another place this light may plug into the heater ac fan mechanism? thanks Anthony

Hi Anthony,
On the heater/defroster controller the hole for the lamp socket is on the bottom of the housing.
UPC1asm, Sheet M3, View B, in the 71 AIM.
I'd think it's likely the same for an a/c controller
Regards,
Alan

Hi Alan, thanks for getting back to me. I didn't look on the bottom. The socket with the bulb is a side mounting socket. I will look tomorrow as Iam not at the house now. thanks so much Anthony
