'81 Fuse Box RANT
Somehow I blew the fuse for my rear window defogger in my '81. All of the white lettering for the fuse box has deteriorated so that the identifications can't be read. So I had to pull out numerous documents showing the locations of the fuses.
I've never seen a fuse box with so much extra stuff connected to it. I had to move and disconnect wires just to get to the fuse that I needed to check. I accidentally knocked out the circuit breaker for the power windows. I tried for the better part of an hour to get that bastard back in. There is simply no good access to the upper fuses and circuit breakers on this car. Now I know why everything went to printed circuit boards and computers. TOO MANY damn wires and TOO MUCH wiring under the dash of this car.
Ok I'm done and I feel better.

Thanks for reminding me of why I bought a pack of glass fuses and a '68!

You can bet the fuse that I replaced was the type that lights up. I'm considering replacing all of them with that type.
You can get them at the local auto parts or online at places like this...http://www.sonicelectronix.com/cat_i431_atc-fuses.html
