2023 C3 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
2019 C3 of Year Finalist (stock)
24 year old female driver killed, what a shame !!, sounds like the other driver she was racing took off.
Racing a 45 year old car, with a young driver sounds like a recipe for disaster
Regards

Street racing is dumb. My prayers for those she left behind.

Life is too short already.... why push the envelope to end it early? I`m amazed I`ve survived some of the stupid stunts I pulled when I was young!

Yes, I thought of that too Also comes to mind some of our threads about catastrophic tire failure. She apparently knew very little about her car and bought it last May (2013). I dont think a 24 year old (woman or man) automatically appreciates the danger of a 45 year old car with no airbags, no antilock brakes, tires of unknown age, possible invisible rusty frame and an engine that still puts out a lot of torque.

The C3's are definitely 'out there' as far as suspension and steering technology go. They're already kind of loosey-goosey at speeds to begin with and many of us, have to anticipate what the car might do at any particular speed, especially if you lose it at high speeds and then you'd better be a whip-sawing **** on the steering wheel or you're doomed. (and that still isn't a guarantee...)
Sad story indeed.
