68 Wiper door won't go down
My 68's wiper door opens as soon as I start the car without the wiper switch on. Once it's up it won't go back down. The only way I can get it down is turn the motor off and remove the vacumn line to the canister then push it down. Also if I turn the wiper switch on the wipers are not working. They were working fine. I did recently remove my shifter console and partly remove the gage console with the wiper switch in it. Could I have disturbed something with regards to the wiper switch causing this problem ?? Thanks, Tom.

A. Is the wiper override open?
B. Check the solenoid on the rear of the tach.
B. Check the solenoid on the rear of the tach.

Thanks Mike. I'll check the solenoid behind the tach. The wiper door and the wipers were working fine just before I was monkeying around behind the speedo, tach and gauge console. Could I have accidently pulled /disconected the solenoid wiring?
