Default C3 Shut Down

Need some help, not sure why the car completely shut down the other night. I was running about 30 mph and the car just shut off, Only thing that would come on was the head lights.

Any suggestions to check?

Sounds like maybe a fusible link?

check the under hood engine compartment wires ( plug ) going into the back of the fuse block , when my car was new , when it go hot , it would shut down going 40 mph , not cool ! it was the red wire ( i think 12 volt possitive ) that was doing it

That was also the problem on my 68. My fault though, I didn't tighten the screw tight enough to begin with.

I would check there first.

I should have mentioned it was with my 69 ( that I still have ) that was doing it
