Default Tire Question....

Has anyone ever used Cooper Cobra tires? I was putting the 81 away for the winter and realized that my Good Year Eagle GT 2 tires are from 2001!!!!! They look like new and do NOT have over 5000 miles on them. I was looking at tires and kind of like the look of the Cooper cobra tires, plus our last name is also Cooper, no relation.

My '81 has a set of Cooper Cobras on it. The previous owner put a new set on the car before he sold it. I don't have any problems with them. They seem to ride and handle well. I try not to drive in the rain so I couldn't tell you about wet traction.

I have Cooper Cobras in 245/60-15 and seem to be fine. Previously had TA's and these seem at least as good.

I just bought 2 235-70-15 cooper cobras for my old chevy 1500. $106 each shipped to my door from discount tires online. Very nice tires without the bfg radial ta pricing.

Bought a 71 with a set of Cooper Cobras, the car was not driven to much with those tires. Now the coopers have terrible flat spots and need to be replaced. They are not usable even though they look brand new. We'll be spending the $600 and getting the BFG.

I am very happy with my Cooper Cobras. They are a speed rating higher than the BF Goodrich T/As.

I know the Cooper Cobra are probably better tires, but I just think the BFGs look more correct on a C3. (If we're talking white letters out)

We run them on our '77 and are very happy with them. I don't mind the letters on them personally.

Good decision on getting rid of those "new-looking" tires that you have now (don't ask how I learned my lesson--even after being warned by fellow members ).

Keep an eye on "reduced prices" ....you may find a deal during the winter months on new tires!
