Default Auto trans leaking after motor pulled

Is it normal for the trans to leak once a motor is pulled with the trans still sitting in the car? Looks like its seeping from the pan gasket.

a pan gasket leak has nothing to do with pulling the motor, have you tried cleaning it off to verify whether it really is the pan?

Well i pulled my motor last week and the trans is sitting on a 2x12 block of wood under two jack stands to support it. I noticed a trail of fluid leaking from under it and i know it was not there before the motor was pulled. I looked under the car with a flashlight and it just looked like it was coming from around the seal so no i havent really looked to see exactly where it was coming from. I thought maybe the weight of the trans putting pressure on an old seal could have caused it to leak. This is the first time i have pulled a motor so i wasnt sure if this was the seal or something that was "normal".
