Fortunately the man had not taken much apart other than the door panels. That means everything should be there.

Not much of a story. The previous owner was my parents' neighbor for the last 20 - 25 years. I've always known that he had a few older Corvettes as well as a Z06, but I've never seen any of them up close. I saw him probably 6 months ago and just asked about it out of curiosity. He said he would sell it. I didn't act on it right away, but couldn't get it out of my mind. Finally, about 3 weeks ago, I went over to take a look at it to see if it was even worth messing with. I felt like I could handle the job, and his price was right. Looking at the title, he bought it in 1985 with 55k miles. The tag is from 1989, and the car now has 60k on it. I know some of you are probably wondering about the older cars that he had, but they are gone.

Here's an even better story. I have a 5 year old girl. I was showing her the car and told her that she can help me work on it. She said, "please tell me it has a lot of screws". Yes... yes.... it has a lot of screws.

A 5 years old? Hope the frame and bird cage are not rusted from sitting out in the weather.

Don't feed it. If you do, it will never leave.

That's a a real nice 77 you found there. Best of luck with it.

Looks like someone already removed the luggage rack and start stripping the paint. Looking good !

The birdcage checks out great. I have the luggage rack too. The car is actually exceeding my expectations so far.

This is a good thing. To many times it is the other way around. Nice find.

Isn't that the truth! It starts out innocent enough, a bulb here... a bolt there. Then before you know it... it will be eating stacks of 100 dollar bills at a time

Good luck on the project, I always enjoy seeing another '77 four speed

I spent this afternoon gutting the interior. The only pieces remaining to take out are the dash pad, the left side of the dash with the speedometer and tach, and the gauge cluster area of the console.

If you thought the Tupperware container takes you back to the 70s, how about this that I found uner the seat. Haven't seen one of these in a while.

Storage area stripped.

Front stripped. Sorry for the bad pic. Sunlight.

Found this in the car also. Nothing a little touchup paint can't fix.
