Default Wintertime Hobbies/Projects?

Well guy's, it's almost winter time here in upstate New York and my Corvette is up for the winter. When you guy's ( or girls ) are not driving your vette's, what do you do in the wintertime for fun? Any hobbies or projects you work on? I'm a WWII fan, so in the winter I break out a book and do some history reading.

We have fun restoring old gas pumps, and making things out of fiberglass. Right now, we`re making an old oak whiskey barrel into a bathroom sink.

I work on motorcycles when the snow flies. I just picked up this '97 Honda PC800 for $200 that's popping through the exhaust. The owner didn't want to fool with it, so he bought a new bike. I'll just chip away at it to find the problem, then in the spring, sell it and make a few bucks.

I refinish furniture, also.

During the cold winter here in West Virgina I spend a lot of time in The Hot Rod Grille playing pinball (including Bally's Corvette), video games, jukes and my other coin-op games. They don't get much atention during the warmer months when I'm enjoying cruising in the hotrods and attending car shows.

Amazing place you have there! Beautiful country down your way, we ride motorcycles down through the Monongahela Forest quite often.

Do you ever serve ice cream in the summer?

Mick,

The soda fountain is a 1947 Bastian-Blessing and is fully operational and stocked with ice cream, syrups and toppings year round! If you find yourself riding near Charleston, WV next summer, PM me for directions and stop by the garage for ice cream. Friends are always stopping by The Hot Rod Grille!

How boring my life must be, our winter time projects include replacing 15 electrical outlets, painting three rooms and fixing the family room ceiling.

No hot chicks tho, they would just get in the way of the progress.

I am very unmotivated during the winter. I actually hate winter, do not even like going outside anymore in it. Anyhoo, I want to paint my basement. I would like to put the vette on jack stands and get the wheels balanced. And I would also like to change the stock manifold on the bigblock to the edlebrock performer I picked up. I also have palns to pickup a used 3.4 out of a camaro and get it ready to drop in my s10 in the spring. Oh I do know I will be dreaming about retiring to Arizona the whole winter, especially when its snowing

Hey Desmoluci! Fancy seeing you here. Congratulations on the PC800 success today. Spark plugs are definitely a critical component.

Good luck with the bike...you may find you don't want to get rid of it once you are done. It makes a good runabout.

Thanks!
I called my friend to tell him what the problem was and offered the bike back to him as we haven't transferred the title yet, so it may be going back home to him. It wouldn't be right to sell it and take advantage of his misfortune when it was such an easy fix,
We'll see what happens...
