Default My Blue Print 38313ct1 installed

A friend of mine is helping me with this project. A few pictures as we go along.
Last weekend we pull the motor.

I started cleaning the engine bay today and will continue tomorrow.

Whew that's ugly! It looks like my '68 engine bay (except mine has only two small wiring harnesses).

Between work and the weather I haven't been able to do much. I was able to get some done today.

Next weekend I'll be painting the firewall weather permitting.

Perfect time to put on some heat proofing out the outside of the body in the tranny tunnel and up to the engine. There is some really great heat shield product that sticks on. And maybe lizard skin spray on. Such the access for that right now.

Also, the front suspension refresh is a breeze at this point! Get a good A-arm bushing removal tool and that makes it an easy job. Your bushings needs replacing and now is a good time "while you're there" (along with the power steering, if it leaks or needs a rebuild.). Ball joints too. Wonder what they look like after decades?

The front suspension does need rebuilding. I have a friend he works on front ends for a living and was supposed to work on mine at this time. He can't get to it now until after the first of the year. He told me to continue on and he'll take care of it then.
Thanks

Looks great!

Best time to really clean and detail an engine compartment while the lump is out. Nice job.

Degreaser from O'Reilly and a pressure washing.

Great job, what paint did you use? Did the swap last summer and used JD Blitz.
