1968 Corvette Stingray RIP in Kuwait
Today a corvette family lost one of the most beautiful production corvette. 1968 Corvette Stingray was on fire after it has left Corvette Show in Kuwait. When the firefighters came, everything had gone.
Drive safe and god bless all of us 😭

I'm gonna carry 2 or 3 fire extinguishers.

About 20 years ago I was following a guy and his Corvette caught fire (something with the fuel line). By the time he got the car stopped and had jumped out it was to late for a fire extinguisher. Flames were licking 4' up both sides of the car. Nothing else burns like a Corvette. YMMV

I've had one and fixed two cars from it over the years. One of the items that burns is the hood release cable which makes it a double edged sword... You leave it closed less fire, you pop the hood more oxygen more fire.

I noticed the Stingray emblem on the front fender which was 69 , but I don't see anything else from other years. People have been known to put the Stingray emblems on 68's. Not that it matters though ,we still lost another Corvette.

Maybe it's the patchwork bodied Frankenstein 1969 L46 that I bought sight unseen from a member on here in 2008. I couldn't sell that thing fast enough, loss be damned. Funny thing is that it ended up back within a mile of me after changing hands again two years ago. Haven't seen it around lately, so maybe it crossed the ocean in a container.
Hate to see a C3 go down the tubes though.
