Storage compartment question
I bought a jacking instruction decal for my '73 vert and looking at the under side of the door behind the passenger seat their are raised ribs in a cross pattern on the door . To place the decal it will have to go over one of these ribs. Is this normal or do I have a door from another year. All three doors have these ribs. Thanks.

Early cars used a flat pressboard assembly as was used in 72. The rest used a molded black fiberglass door assembly. It is not known when the change took place but should have been early in production.
I would ave t assume that the jack sticker would be centered on the door (mine has the pressboard doors).

Was not my first choice but it really grew on me.
Wouldn't want any other color now!

My lock was located on the middle door but reading in the owners manual it refers to the glove box being the jack storage box and locks so I now assume that the lock should be on the jack door, correct ?

Hi,
Noticed the date on the instructions and the drawing of the rear of the car… makes me wonder if this changed again for 74 production?
For 71 the jacking instructions are the one shown above and dated 1967.
The positraction caution label is one dated 1958. Yes 58!
Regards,
Alan

Thanks for that info , My car was built in may '73 so that would confirm the ribs. Thought I had repos but by the looks of things these are probably the original doors. The Jack sticker had pretty much flaked off but was attached across the ribs like in the following post.
Thanks for teaching me something!
