Default My horn sounds really Anemic

The sound of my horn on my 73 L-48 sounds really low, is there any cure for this? My AIM shows only one horn. Can I add another horn?

A set of $38 "mini" air horns from AutoZone will solve that problem.....

and also WAKE UP a few "texters" who pull out in front of you from side-streets!!!!!

(Place the horns in a secret location so they won't be so obvious)

Sure. Pairs were high and low note. Determine which you have and order the one you need.

I pulled a pair of horns from a monte carlo out of a junkyard.. wired them up to my pathetic single horn on my 75. I found a mounting hole near the original horn, and made a bracket to mount the 3rd horn. Now, when I hit the horn, she's loud!

This may sound silly, but is your horn full of wasps? Those little critters like to make their mud nests in dark places like car horns. You may be surprised - the horn could be full of mud...

I have seen several hones like that and my 200sx I had years ago wouldnt run because of the huge nest in the air cleaner, which was also full of acorns and even a small skull....well when I pulled it open the dirt dobbers let me know I wan't invited, carb cleaner helped them see it my way....

I dig those dual air horns not stock but demand attention....

I had the horn out today, cleaned the ground and the hot wire, nothing nesting inside.
Still sounds like a sick cow . . . .

I use these on my motorcycles and my car and like them, but the air horns sound interesting.

My new 73 single horn sounded like crap right out of the factory. Actually it was embarassing to use it.

Sounds like a reasonable solution. Did you use the original horn relay?

Thanks,
