I was wondering the same thing (switch function) only for a 73 coupe. I had to remove the lock pillar switch yesterday when I was working on the #3 body mount repair. My car does/did have an alarm but I am taking it out.

I think so, yes.

I have a friend with a loaded '69, and I'm pretty sure it only has a plunger switch in the pillar/hinge jamb. If needed, I'd be happy to confirm and advise.

Hope this helps...

Thanks Redrstr72. My 69 has the B pillar (lock pillar) switches but they are only for the "door ajar" light. The alarm is triggered from the "A" pillar switches. It's just another wire added to the courtesy light switch.

I check Lectric Limited's alarm harnesses and it looks like 69 and 70 are the same. It also appears that the change came in 71 and went until 73. Thanks for the reply, Rick
