Default Lost my laugh

Another weekend passes and I am still waiting. Had to hang up on the mechanic before I went off on him. Back in March they were thinking the end of April, Missed it by that much.

Pissed off
Jack.

Sorry to here that Jack. I feel your pain. I don't know why some shops give out false info and hopes. Hang in there!

Thanks Guys,

It's the shop but not in the usual way, the kid that is running it now is in over his head and he will either figure it all out or the shop will not be there in a year. He does good work but he needs to plan a week to two ahead of time better.

Wednesday I will either call or drive by to see how it is going.

Jack.

Check on the quality of the work that they have done so far......if it is quality work and they are making some headway----try to be patient....(my street rod was at the body/paint shop 9 months/their bodywork-paint was excellent so I stopped by once a week to "encourage them")

IF it is NOT quality work and very little is being done.........I suggest----TAKE YOUR CAR HOME.

I agree with DG
Sometimes we all need to swallow our pride and kill em' with kindness. They are still grieving the loss of their boss/ owner and trying to find a groove I would guess.
Still doesn't make it easier. Let them finish the week, stop by mid week and if the car is in the same spot in its resto, ask them to have the car ready to drive because you are coming to get it this Saturday. Most likely will have to deal with some financial settling up and hopefully it's all over and she is back in your garage. Best of luck

Default Almost

Got ten miles, Carb problems.

The shop re-built the carb but there is way to much gas getting into the engine and it is to much carb (750) for the 350hp. I am going to drop a 550 Holly that I have sitting around for another project so I can drive the car a little.

Default Fixed

Replacing the Carb helped out, car pulls better now that it is not getting flooded.

Jack,

Congratulations on getting her going! You may have various problems, ie: carb, but at least the major project is finished! They say you are never done , but the worst is behind you. Now you can tweak, adjust and improve, but you can be out enjoying it. It looks absolutely beautiful and you can be very proud of her! So happy for you!

Andy

Default New Storage

My brother and I picked up at auction six four post lifts, we are going to use five of them for our toys and sell the last 3/4 of a lift. It will be missing two legs. Car has been running well have not had much change to work or keep her clean lately due to life of work moving and father in law recovering from open heart surgery. Hopefully October will be a relaxing month.

Here they are all five, it is going to be some nice storage and allow me to increase my stable of cars. Maybe a C6......
