What is it worth
Can you guys give me your opinion. I know it's hard to tell from one pic. Standard engine, good paint, good chrome, fair interior.

That is actually a good price and if any of you guys follow the market it is in the low end of the price range for a 1971 which can hit prices up to $30,000 or more these days on a 1971 haggerty will insure the car in this link I am sending you. While I would require more information on the car and condition here is a link on this look it up and you have a deal.
If I found this car at that price when i was buying a Corvette I would have scooped it up.

If the car is solid that's a good price for chrome bumpers.

Sorry, but $30k is a ridiculous number for a mid range base coupe.
I think you are confusing convertible real world prices with coupes.

that price seems fair.
convertibles do bring more on average but not that much more in real world #s

The 15k asking price appears to be fair provided there are no serious mechanical or frame/birdcage rust issues. Chrome bumper cars in this price range typically need some work or at least some TLC. I'd expect that it could be had for a grand or 2 under the ask.

i would easily pay that much for that car if I did not have to paint it and it had no rust.. but so many of them do. but you would have to convince me of the rust. your definition of rusty would have to be the same as mine.

have you ever watched auctions on these cars. I have seen people attempting to sell late 1975 through 1980 corvettes for over 20 Grand here is a few links that will not last long since they change all the time.
I confuse nothing and here is a few sites with real world pricing. I do not make the prices up they attempt to sell them on these sites
http://www.vettefinders.com/index.cf...s-For-Sale.htm
http://www.usedcorvettesforsale.com/...or-sale-3.html

Now tell me I am wrong again please you will find people are selling these for the prices I suggested. If they get it another story.

Definitely worth a look. I don't know where the rest of you guys look for pricing of these cars, but IF rust isn't an issue, and preferably it doesn't need paint - it's pretty darned cheap.

Imho,........
IMHO, check completed ebay sales, need an ebay account, do an advanced search, check out the prices that did not sell in black and the green prices that actually did sell. Now this is not the end all answer but valuable info for what Corvettes very likely actually sold for on ebay anyway. Not many places you can actually tell what the Corvettes actually sold for. Folks can ask all kinds of high prices whatever they want; but what are the actual final transaction prices??
Another one is www.mecum.com, you register for free and then do a search on completed auctions.
Next, this one is definitely worth an inspection, look for how much rust, how bad and how big a deal to fix. And of course the paint and the mechanical. Make a list of things to fix and cost (your time is free, ha!) and add to the purchase price and compare your potentially "fixed up" Corvette to actual sales prices completed on ebay for similar already "fixed up" "Corvettes. If you are in the red, well, time to pause. Easy to get upside down on a purchase. Good advice here to bring a knowledgeable friend with you to inspect and hopefully be objective
Hope this might help.
Note: just noticed your location, I thought this Corvette looked familiar, I would definitely go take a look if you are in the market. I think chrome bumper prices are generally down right now. And my 2 cents, unless you are Danny, and buy at 1/2 this price and have all kinds of tools, resources, reputation and talent, it is hard for me to believe that many of us ordinary folks could make money regularly flipping cars, LOL's!

This appears to be the car listing on Craigslist:

As for your question about flipping the car for a quick profit, I would say no. This car has been for sale on the highly visible medium Craigslist for at least 2 weeks. If this were a great deal, I think someone would have already snapped this car up. Good cars at reasonable prices sell fast. That leads me to believe that it is at best a fair price without a lot of meat left on the bone so to speak.
