Default I DID IT! I ordered the blueprint 396!

http://blueprintengines.com/index.ph...-base-bp3961ct

I have shopped and researched for the past two weeks and finally settled on blueprint, due primarily to their activity on this forum, and recommendations from previous purchasers. I also called them and was given very good customer service when asking questions. The only negative thing I encountered was sending them an email through their "contact us"... to which I received no reply. I'm hoping that was just a fluke or technical issue!

I'm on pins and needles waiting for this (by far) best-christmas-present-of-my-life. I will let everyone know how it goes!!

Also, FYI, if you order through JEGS rather than through blueprint, the shipping is $100 cheaper. I called blueprint and gave them the opportunity to match it, assuming they'd make more if I purchased direct, but they were not able to. Just a tip for anyone else that decides to use them!

Congrats!

That should provide a healthy dose of G force.

Love the 396 ability to twist like a SB, And give the BB push you into the seat power!

Still my favorite BB of them all. You made a wise choice, enjoy it

That should wake things up a bit.

30 months or 50,000 mi. warranty doesn't hurt, either.

Congrats on the 396...you've gotten a power-house there!

My friend had a new Chevelle SS 396 off the showroom floor....When the automatic shifted into 2nd gear it would burn rubber for 100 feet......then "bark the tires" when it went into 3rd gear....

So.....you should have LOTS of fun.

Thanks all. My shipping got delayed because Jegs needed to call me back (at 4pm the next day) at my billing number for verification but I should still have it by the new year!

That's a heck of a good list

Couldn't view the Summit stuff on my tablet - "too many redirects"

You are going to add to that list a LOT as you go

This is gonna be a very worthwhile engine swap!

Thanks for the tips! Just out of curiosity why are the non-greaseable better? I had been told it was the other way around?

Non-Greasable are stronger because they don't have holes drilled in them for zerk fittings.

There hollow to channel the grease to the caps , making them weaker .
