Another member is selling some AZ wheels that are marked as 15X8. I have some AZs that are 15X9. When did GM change the design?
You have to measure it from inside the bead to inside the bead. It will measure about 8 inches. From outside rim to outside rim it measures about 9 inches.
They would not have made 2 different sizes with the same letter codes. The letter codes mean more than just overall size but also indicate offset. For example there are several types of 15x7 rims and not all fit the 68 Corvette well. Some 15x7 rims will hit things when put on so it should be the proper letter code for that car. Some rims are designed for maybe the Nova or Camaro or maybe some other full size car.
I am not sure how many letter codes were used for 15x8 but if its not AZ then it will have a different offset then a Corvette rim.
