2020 Corvette of the Year Finalist (appearance mods)
C3 of Year Winner (appearance mods) 2019
I took my 76 out for the first real drive of the year. There was a local cruise-in and I parked next to my friend's 69. Then a white c3 pulled up next to us. After that a BB 72 pulled up on the end, although I failed to get a photo of that.
The car ran well and it was great to get out and finally drive!

Replaced the passenger's door panel. What a PITA of a job that was. Seems the curvature of the aftermarket panel (with plastic backing) is more pronounced than that of the OEM cardboard-backed panel. Plus the plastic Velcro-style pads are pretty much useless.
It looks a LOT better than the old and tired panel, but not happy with the fit.
Spent about 5 hrs. on this project and still have one more door to do.
Decided to go with a cleaner look, so left most of the chrome trim off and like it a lot better.

I had a similar experience putting on my panels. I tried putting weights on them for a few months while I was building the car to see if they would warp back to more of a flat shape. Still not happy with the fit, but they look pretty good. Next time I have them off I am going to put some extra clips on the panels at the bottom to hold it flatter.
Yours looks really good.

Fuel Pump, Fixed Leak in P/S, replaced shocks
Well, not all today but this week i replaced the fuel pump on my 76 with an Edelbrock Performer RPM. Replaced all 4 shocks with KYB shocks and today i located a ruptured line on my power steering and was able to repair that. Car is much happier with me now!

Did a four wheel alignment with my new Longacre caster/camber gauge. I just redid my rear suspension so things were quite a bit off as expected. I put global west a arms up front and things lined up fairly quickly starting with the recommended 1/8" shims. Borgeson box installed so set the caster at four degrees positive like they recommend.
All in all it was somewhat lengthy but a very interesting learning experience.
I'm taking it to my favorite alignment guru next week to get it dialed in to perfection.
