Default 1969 Registry? Number of color combinations

I have a 1969 Roadster that factory colors are Burgundy exterior and Saddle interior. I'm wanting to know how many Vette's came out in this combination for that year. I know Chevy did not capture that information, but is there a registry that might have the raw data that I might be able to mine for that information.

I have seen some burgundy/black but none in my combination

Any help is appreciated

Sorry I can`t help you with how many, but I have seen that combo before. We have a forum member in Europe who has posted many beautiful photos of his gorgeous car with breath-taking backgrounds..........

That last one is my personal favorite! Now that you have some inspiration.... let`s see some pics of yours!

I do not believe the information you want is available. Some people try to guess using extrapolation, but they are pure guesses with no validity.

Is it the photo or are your lower rocker panels body color?

Yes it is the same color as the body, it was flat black and my painter suggested color. Previous owner painter it red and dyed the interior black - I returned to original

I'm hoping that there is some registry where people have posted information about their car much like the 70's registry. I don't want to guess, but I do wonder how many convertibles came in Burgundy/Saddle

Thank-you

You can always try the C3 Registry (http://www.c3registry.com) and sort for 1969. Unfortunately, it is user-based so you cannot take the data as completely accurate. For example, Joe Schmoe buys a 1969 corvette in torch red, he's going to mark off that it is monza red, though it might have began its life as a 988 burgundy. Many people do not even know of the trim tag.

Regardless, it is a great color combo!

I think the C3regustry only has about 6% of all the corvettes made listed.

No colors were terribly rare in 69. Monaco Orange was probably the lowest production but I don't think it's as rare as most people who own the cars in that color want it to be.

You will never get an accurate number unfortunately.

Nice looking car you have regardless.

My advice would be to take small steps. First try to find a reliable figure for the number of burgundy convertibles. After you've climbed that mountain, start chasing the saddle.

Good luck with the hunt.

Hi 69,
VERY nice looking 69 convertible!
Does it happen to have the tan soft top? I think that's even more important than knowing the combination production number?
Like the blackwalls/rallys very much!
Is the dog getting ready to take a poop on your front walk??
Similar but different house?
Is the driver's side exhaust as low as it appears?
Again, nice 69!
Regards,
Alan

2956 vinyl. 641 leather In saddle. Helps narrow it down.

Where did you get those numbers from? I didn't know GM made interior color production numbers available.

Only a little. Your figures are for total production. Nothing to confirm how many of the 3500 (+-) saddle interior cars were burgundy or body style.

ed427: The Corvette Blackbook has interior color totals but no color combinaton figures (exterior paint/interior trim).

Easy Mike,
Is that the book by Mike Antonick?
If so I need to get it.
I was under the impression that none of that info was ever available. Even if not complete info its at least one more piece.
Thank you,
Ed

Some information is available, but - sadly - not all. The Blackbook is a reasonably good source. The NCRS 1968-82 Corvette Specifications Guide is also good.

Have not been able to find exact info on colors, don't know if it will be possible. Since I was was able to narrow it down just a little from 38,000 to 3,500 in saddle you may have to settle for a guesstimate on the burgundy. Maybe 10% of total paint, that would put you at about 350 or so. I'll keep looking in meantime

Part of the problem is "guessing" the burgundy. Assigning an arbitrary percentage puts you on shaky ground right from the git-go.

My 69 coupe has your color combination. I have seen several coupes over the years in that combo but now that I think about it, I can't recall seeing any burgundy convertibles with saddle, only black.
