Default Paint removal from a urethane bumper cover

What is the best way to remove paint from urethane bumper covers? I have noticed a few cracks in the rear and if I can save myself some money buy stripping it myself then I will. Do you have to strip it down to the natural urethane color which I think is a yellowish beige. And if so what would I use?

I used Auto Spray Strip on my 80. That was "best" for me.

I used lacquer thinner, scotch brite pads, and lots of elbow grease on my 77 bumpers. It worked well.

The previous owner of my car taped plastic to the car along the rear bumper. I tried to get the tape residue off with lacquer thinner and a paper towel. Took of the tape residue but took off the paint quite easily too.
