Original radiator sprung a leak...slow drip but winter is the time to take this project on. Doing thermostat and hoses while I'm in there. Question on the tranny cooler hoses to metal lines - are they molded specific (similar to radiator hose) or are they "cut to fit"?

I just went to Auto Zone and got hose and cut to fit to replace the ones on my 73.
Just remember to get hydraulic hose and not regular hose.

Just to confirm what 73donnie states, same deal with 78...its cut to fit tranny hose.

The hose you want is clearly marked "TRANS COOLER". Don't let them tell you it's the same as fuel hose.

definetly do not use fuel or oil hoses. Use tranny or power steering. something that works with high pressure I have a brand new engine cause the auto parts store guy said it would work fine.....a lasted a week
