putting car up on blocks ???
thinking of putting the c3 up on those concrete block you can get at lowes and putting a 1" thick board on top then car. car is on hard dirt and some gravel. would these support car ok? long term storage and will not be moved or started.

If you are referring to "cinder blocks" I would not, they are not solid/stable (combine that with your unstable ground, sounds like a recipe for failure).
I'm sure people have done it successfully though.
Better option would be to pour a cement pad, then use quality jack stands, at the proper locating points.

Hi Lt-!D,
Is this inside or outside storage?
I'd be concerned about "long term storage" on dirt even with a layer of gravel on the dirt.
I think it would be wise to look into what type of vapor barrier may be available to lay over the gravel to help control the dampness that's going to occur under the car.
Sitting above a damp surface for a long period can be hard on the chassis and running gear.
Regards,
Alan

I have to agree with the others. The possibility of the ground being unstable is really taking a chance hoping something is not going to go wrong. Concentrate on trying to minimize the bottom of the car's exposure to dampness.

besides leaving the suspension hanging is bad for the bushings. plus my biggest fear would be what would happen if you needed to move it really quick for a emergency

outside and covered, guess I will just keep as is for now, would like to keep it on the flatbed trailer it is on now, but it is borrowed. my goal is to bring it home and put in garage but currently that has priority cars in it. thanks for replies.
