Thanks Qwank - appreciate it. If you ever get a chance to take a picture from the rear view mirror, that'd be great, but I think that picture really shows it.

I'll try to remember to get a pic next time it's out of the garage.

I had the metal louvers on a couple of my custom show cars in the early 80s.. I had the one piece tilt-up ones on my '73 and I absolutely loved the way it filled the back section and seemed to lengthen the car. Also looked nice on this car with the black main paint color and black rear bumpers.

I also used the 3 piece metal ones on my '80 custom. I had them on the car when it was plain white and they looked OK, but when I had it custom painted I absolutely hated them... these pics are the only 2 I have, you can see I didnt even put the rear emblem back on yet. Took the louvers and the turbine wheels off almost as soon as I installed them. Just too busy.

Had no problem at all seeing out of them, They did scratch the '80 rear glass when I took them off, though. I liked the big window clear by itself.

It was pretty sinister-looking, that pic was around 1982. The colors are showing up in the sunlight but they were very subtle. The Vectors were cool, too. Really liked that car a lot.

I'm rocking the Craigar 1 piece louvers, painted to match. The view out the back is obstructed on the sides, but the view directly behind isn't bad at all.

I will take better pictures of it and post them up.

I won a set of the Cragar wrap around style on eBay yesterday. Can't wait to get them on the car. Only other cosmetic modification I want to do is an L-88 hood.

I saw those louvers you won. Description says its missing the lower mounts and he doesn't have any pictures of the actual louvers. Did he send you pics of them?

The car has been sitting a little while so the back window is dirty.

Anyone still looking for the craiger aluminum louvers. I went to buy some which I was told were for firebird. They weren’t but I picked them up anyway. No hardware but louvers nice and intact.

Please dont add this to a 5 year old thread. If you have something for sale, post your own new thread in the Parts For Sale section with an asking price.
