Default 1977 corvette

Can I install the 1974 dual exhaust system for a 1977 L48 Corvette with Automatic transmission without any modification. And if so what would be a good system. Thank You

Yes, you can. I bought a 74 system for my 77 from Corvete Central and it fit perfectly. Mine has a manual transmission, but I susoect the differences are minimal. I also removed the catalytic converter since my car is exempt from emissions testing because it has historic vehicle plates. I would recommend the system sold by Corvette Central as it was easy to install and fits like the stock system.

I agree too. I did it on my 77. One additional part you should get is the dual pipe hanger/bracket which attaches to the trans crossmember. You have a bracket now that supports the one pipe going through the trans crossmember. Corvettes Cental, Ecklers etc sell the bracket needed to secure both pipes.
