Default Lighting question

Is all the lighting ran on 6v or is it just the headlights?

You've lost me. All Corvettes since 1955 have had 12 volt negative ground electrical systems.

Well that's good to hear for some odd reason I thought I read somewhere that the headlights were on a 6v circuit but that makes it easer for me

Well I'm glad I already have one and I don't have to worry about someone selling me there's. I thought it was a legitimate question I am new to all this c3 stuff and learning new stuff everyday. I was confused about the whole 12v 6v thing and I didnt make any since to me why they would have put 6v n there to begin with but like I said I obivously read something wrong and it must have been about earlier models but know I know live and learn thanks again for all the help

Welcome to the madness! It's a bit quirky here in the asylum but you get used to it eventually.

There are plenty of people here willing to help answer any questions you have and give insight on many topics. Never be afraid to ask.

Since you mention that you're new to C3s, take a look at this thread and consider picking up a few books to help you work, if you haven't already. This forum, and the internet in general, can help you answer a lot of questions but you'll be at the mercy of how fast others respond. With the books, the answers will be right in front of you. At a minimum, get an owners manual, service manual, and an assembly manual (AIM). The service manual will cover basic maintenance and the AIM will show you how everything is supposed to go together. These are copies of the actual assembly manuals used at the factory to build these cars. It doesn't get much better than that. And of course, everyone should have an owners manual

Again, welcome to the crazy!
