Hey oldgto,
What details can you share about extending out your center grill.
I'm going to extend mine center grill here in the near furture and have an idea how Im going to do it, but would like to hear how you did it first hand.
Thanks

Pretty easy, really. I used the stock brackets, in the stock location. I got some stainless steel 4 inch bolts and nuts, and used steel tube (lamp parts) for sleeves. Here`s a side view, looking through the headlight hole.....

I have regular Mass. plates on the car now. Front and rear are required. However, I found a pair of early 70's plates at a flea market last Summer that have a 73 registration sticker. The next time I register the car I can use just the back plate and keep the current registration sticker in the car. This is technically a more limited use 'antique' registration that limits driving to shows and 'test drives'. I doubt I will ever get stopped and if I do I will be on a test drive or going to a show.

I am in California, and should have a front and back plate. Years ago I took off the Corvette nameplates, and went back to the original plates. I figured by doing this it would be one less reason for pulling me over for any infraction.

I don't mind confessing that 7t2vette's image is one of my favorites but then... I'm biased.

More importantly to myself, I love the fit and finsh of his car; one day I hope to have panel gaps and trim that fit so well, on my old mule. The carbon fiber spoiler adds a subtle high-tech look to a favorite color combo.

Thanks to all for sharing your personalized identification. Very cool.

I've always loved the look of that Vette too. One of my forum faves!!

I've been considering "SLO.305" plates for mine, should work better than putting an alarm on it.
