Hello, i have a 78 with blue interior. The rear shelf is black. Is this correct? Or should it be blue with the rest of the interior?

Yes. Regardless of interior color, all the rear window interior trim should be semi flat black.

In both of my cars, one red interior, one oyster, the shade is matte (flat) black.

It is painted flat black to reduce the glare & the vinyl security shade is black for the same reason.

78 horn buttons were originally brushed chrome but because of reflections it was recalled and replaced with the color-keyed button. Again a safety issue.

and 1978 was first year the front portion of the dash was flat black to reflect and diminish glare
