Default Carburetor acting up??

Car starts fine when it is cold but after i drive it park it for 10-15 minutes it starts hard and within a minute or two of driving it it shuts off and then it is really hard to start and blows black smoke while i rev it up and then it is fine again until it sits for another 10-15, not an ideal situation at all, have stalled out in traffic a couple of times, i am assuming this is directly related to the Q jet Carb which has been on there for some time now? if it is the carb is this an easy fix or complete rebuild and what part of the carb causes this? Runs fine except for this little quirk

so i decided to pull the lid off of the air cleaner in the walmart parking lot down here in my new home of tucson and i noticed that the choke was wide open and the lower butter flies were dry, so i was standing there for a moment and the primary jets squirted on their own???? what is this about?? this is probably why the car is quitting right after a warm start and then blows black when i get it started and then it is fine again? why would the primaries squirt on their own??
