Default 68-77 Sill plates. Is there a left side and a right side?

Do the 68 thru 77 sill plates have a left sill plate and a right sill plate? Or will one side fit the other side? Thanks, Tom.

I have placed mine on both side at one time or another, and
it doesn't make any difference.

Thanks guys. I thought as much! The reason I ask is I have both my 68 and 82 vetts parked next to each other in the garage and can only open my 68's driver side door so I couldn't compare one side to the other !! Thanks, Tom.

I just replaced the sill plates on my '77. If I remember, they were 40 bucks for the pair. And yes there is a left and right...

Hi n2m,
I'm not sure what you saw that made you think there were left and right plates, but the AIM only lists a single part number which generally means there's no right or left.
There is an inside and outside edge though.
Regards,
Alan

The GM Parts and Illustrations Catalogue does not show a left and a right. It lists one part number and specifies two needed per car.

I used aluminum trim from the local hardware store. Cut to length with a grinder, scuffed'em and sprayed satin black. Looks better than my thin 80 originals and costs 10 bucks
