Default Black wheels

Is it just me? I don't get the black wheels on the C6's and 7's. Make them look dirty or something. I would much rather see chrome or aluminum.

I'm not a huge fan of the black, but I like the gunmetal painted wheels.

To each his own. I think the factory black wheels on the new cars looks great.

I too am a chrome wheel lover. But when my wife and I went to the NCM to look at the sinkhole cars there was a triple black vert sitting in the delivery area that just looked bad azzed with its black wheels.

I don't understand spending the money on black wheels that you can only see the design and sometimes size of the wheel within 10-15 ft of the car. Also reminds me of what cars look like when when their hubcaps fall off. I wouldn't know any difference until im about 10 ft away. Blacked out vehicles dont look bad, just nothing I'd ever do to anything At least with gun metal or charcoal wheels the design is noticeable. I'm 31 and don't get it.

I guess to each their own.

Depends on the car .... I loved chrome / aluminum wheels my entire life . Since I painted my car white & went with 100% black trim .... The perfect choice is black wheels .

I personally like the chrome/aluminum look. I think the young guys think black looks racey. Back in the old days (pre C-2) I would polish the MAGNESIUM wheels on my dragster to make a presentable appearance.

Depends on the Color. My favorite was still the C4 GS with the admiral paint and black wheels/Polished rim.

How about the 2015 C7 with the black machined faced wheels?

That's not bad, at least you can see the design of the wheel.

Black rims (on any car for that matter) - "FAIL". Looks cheap. Sorry - JMHO.

I agree, I don't care for blacked-out wheels. I feel they disappear when the car is moving, looks like you got some junkyard "rollers" just to get the car mobile. Just my opinion.
