Neither one of those cars are the models I described re: incomplete...

I know but the engine bay of a 69 is oh so very close to the engine bay of a 80-82......

Here is a 80 and 69, to me the engine bays are pretty much the same, but the 69 looks so much better to me, not so cluttered.
I feel the air cleaner ducts and stuff on the 80 make it look cluttered where I got the impression you feel it looks very incomplete and unfinished without it, okay So IF we dropped the 69 427 engine and it's trimmings into the 80 would you feel it looked incomplete and unfinished?
What I am trying to get at or grasp for you is this more a case that you feel what came stock factory looks best for which ever year it came that way?

I don't know that it qualifies as a great looking engine but here is my new motor for my '81. Just installed it and headers are out for coating. Still installing parts on it.

Yes the 2nd picture is fully hooked up and wired. All of the wiring has been tucked where you can't see it. Even all the front headlight wires are tucked up in the fender.

looks great, love what you have done to the firewall , so smooth and uncluttered, but no windscreen wipers and where /how did you hide the hood release cable ?

Thanks! I smoothed the firewall and then flipped the wiper motor to the inside to hide it. The hood release cable I ran in the wiper cowl area to get over to the passenger side.
