Very nice car...BUT...I am old school and just don't get the "black wheel" thing at all. Don't care for the chrome trim all blacked out either. Other than that it looks great !

I agree with you Dean on all the black trim, and wheels. But I guess if that is what they like. I can't believe the car dealers offer the black wheels on the new cars. To me they look dirty, and need to be washed and polished. But that is me, i am old school.

I totally agree about the rims. It almost ruins the look of the car. Is it me or do they look like those geeky spare tire rims?

Beat me to it, the wheel set up looks like crap. Runes the whole look of the car. The low profile tires don't suet the C3 to begin with, and the black treatment just totally kills it. Shame on the builder. lol.

I like the wheels and tires except the color of the wheels. I also hope the black wheel fad fades. Sweet Vette Chevy built for him.

It sure is.

I had the chance to actually see that car at SEMA, and it is awesome.

Love how they went away from stock. Great resto-mod.

Funny how things get locked up in generations over the years. I'm sure there was once a group that scoffed at those goofy looking metal wheels when they came out and preferred the look of the wooden ones. I love the diversity of this forum... But, I too am locked in that age group that is not fond of the black wheels. Beautiful car!!!

I'm old and I like it just the way it is but when I look at something I admire the craftsmanship before I decide whether or not it suits my taste.
I'm always amazed how polarizing a set of wheels and tires can be especially when it's something so easy to change.

slightly off topic, but looking at the pics of this car....are the 71 and later wheel arches flared more than 68-70? Those certainly look different than my 69...at least in those photos.

I love black wheels, just not these ones. Otherwise the car looks great.

Anyone know if those custom fender vent inserts are available in the aftermarket, or are they a one-off for this car? I saw something similar on the Ride-Tech 48-hour Corvette; so I think they must be for sale somewhere...just can't seem to find them. I think these would look good painted the body color.

I was at BJ on Sat, and have mixed feelings about the overall appearance of the build. The car looked strange without any shiny chrome...like new cars have no chrome, even bumpers are body color. The wheels were an attempt to stay old school too, but did not enhance the overall look.

The hood/vents really were awesome!

Nobody impressed that it is the NEW LT1 with 6 spd?? The info said it has revised accessory mountings, hinting availability for C3 or others chassis as a drop-in. Even kept the fact ac box?

Didn't notice it. I kept averting my eyes because of those ghastly wheels.

That LT1 looks like it belongs in there and that hood is badazz.
