Single Green wire under hood? (1978)
I have been extensively working on my '78 and have been updating a lot of things; redid the entire interior, new intake and carb(previous owner broke parts of the Rochester Q-jet... jerk), distriubtor, aluminum radiator, electric fan, belts, hoses, etc... And well, I did not do a good enough job documenting where each wire went...
I have everything wired up and working, except one wire that I have no clue what it is, and it is not on the wiring diagram... It is a single green (almost lime green) wire under hood on the passager side. It comes out of the wire loom (with the wiring for the AC compressor, which is fully wired, so it can't go to that) next to the coolant resevoir and is about 3 ft long. It has a black connector on it that would slide over a blade type terminal.
Any ideas what that wire goes to?

idle solenoid on the drivers side of carb. bumps the idle up when the compressor kicks in. it will have a single blade for the wire connector to slide over. if its still installed on the carb. quadrajet style held on with 2 screws.....

I figured it had to do with the AC since my wiring diagram has none of the AC wiring on it. I have an aftermarket Edelbrock carb, so there is no connection for that now. I assume just tape it off and zip tie it up out of the way then.

yes that will do for now, im sure edelbrock sells some type of solenoid for their carb. similiar to this, not saying this is the correct one but will look like it.
