How to 'girl up' a '68?
OK, so I have an opportunity to buy my father's '68. My wife is going to drive it because I don't want to give up my '62. I realize this is a tall order, but how do you girl this car without painting it?

Just going by what I have heard on this forum to really "girl up" a c3 start with a convertible and be sure it's automatic with power everything...add a "hello kitty" sticker to the rear and you are good to go....

I haven't heard a remark like "girl up" in ages. You could man up and ask your wife what she might like done to the car.

My wife would have a colorful response for someone asking that question, then she'd get into one of her performance cars and speed away.
Any chance your wife will be insulted by this?

Nope. She's right here next to me Just looking for some ideas/suggestions... My dad bought the car new and quarter-miled it from '69 to '75, so she's very understanding of my attachment to it. I started calling the car "The LD" when I was a teenager. She can handle the horses but we're looking for ways to make it a little more, I dunno, street friendly.

"Street-friendly" makes way more sense.

Get her some black coated covers for the pipes so she won't burn herself. Then let her go out with it and when she stomps some ricer kids *** you won't have to worry about changing anything.
