It's oil change time. Curious to know what oil others are using. I've been running Valvoline VR1 20W-50 racing oil in my soilid lifter L71 427. How bout you guys ??? Tom.

I run the same as you, it has a sufficient amount of Zinc.

Same oil, but 10W30 in my new roller cam 350. I'll probably switch over to synthetic after break in.

after much research, mobil one 15w-50.

same motor, but I just use regular oil. 10w30. the PO used it since motor was rebuilt in 1995, so it's apparently doing it's job...although the solid factory cam was replaced with a mechanical roller cam with as close to factory specs as possible when it was rebuilt.

As long as it has a CJ-4 or SM rating Im happy(which usually means delo or rotella). Ive used the mobil 1 15w-50 too.

I've been running Shell Rotella 15W 40 in all my older Corvettes both big block and small blocks for many years with no issues.
