Need a good vette mechanic in central NJ
I just purchased a 1969 Corvette. I live in Middletown, NJ. I am looking for a trustworthy, good mechanic in Central New Jersey that knows his way around a Corvette. Any recommendations?
Thanks,
Bill

What are you looking to get done to your car. I'm in Voorhees which is a little ride but I have done work for forum members from all over NJ. I'm not a professional shop but most here will vouch for my work. Let me know if I can help at all.

My car won't turn over. I have a vacuum leak...I think. Gas is coming out of the carburetor area. Just got the car. It was restored. Looking to fix the problem and have someone give the car the once over.

Gordon is THE MAN! Trust me, I have had my '69 L46 to many of the local Corvette "experts" and he is head and shoulders above them all. He does quality work, treats your car as if it was his and charges a very fair price.
If he works on your car you can be sure that it will be fixed right.

Hi Bill, I live in Brick NJ. I also would be interested in a good mechanic like you that knows his way around our early C3's. I have a 68 L71 427. I'm going to watch this thread. If I come across anybody I'll let you know as well. Good luck, Tom.

You can try Glen at Hillside Corvettes in Bridgewater. All Glen does is Corvette work. He's a member of the NCRS and the former judging chairman of the NCRS Central Jersey Chapter. He has also raced Corvettes, so he has a pretty good understanding of Corvette restoration, performance and basic repairs. His shop is right off of Rt 22, at Rt 287.
His phone number is 732-469-0808.

An ole timer that knows the old Corvettes, owns several of them.
It's not a "vette" shop, but he does do a lot of work on them.
It's a clean, safe shop..car is inside, down to earth guy, but the thing
is he's usually busy and it takes him a while to finish the car, (depending on the size of the job of course) as
he has plenty of daily driver customer cars there to work on that
people need back as soon as possible. Good luck.

Top notch! Did a bunch of work years ago on my fathers Corvette. Couldn't have been happier with his work...

My highest recommendation for Gordonm. He has done extensive work on my '79, all of the highest quality. Gordon does great work, thinks out every project, never gives up in the face of adversity (which I have thrown at him all too often), and is 100% trustworthy. He treats the car with love and respect, not as an object.
