Default Head rebuild - What are these parts?

Had my heads redone, Found these pieces in the bottom of the box I got back from the machine shop along with the rocker arms, locknuts and pivot *****. Already torqued down the heads to the block and found them when installing the push rods.

Four Dowel pins are already in the block (2 on each side) are there more? and if I leave them out will anything leak through the holes? Don't want to remove the heads again if I don"t have to.

Those look like tumblers for a machine used to clean parts. Kind of like a rock tumbler. Are they magnetic? Most shops that use parts tumbling devises, the tumblers are ceramic.

I have fiddled around cars for a few years, and they don't look like anything I ever recall. Put them in the box with the blinker fluid and muffler bearings, in case you ever do finally need them.

Here are some more hard to find parts for our cars... http://kalecoauto.com

And just to help you sleep better at night, take them back to the machinist for confirmation.

Just to be safe, check everywhere on the heads, oil and water passages and make sure there are no more that may cause a bad day...
