May have to replace the ignition sw. on my 82?
Recently I've had a couple instances where the car would not start but had power. At first I thought it was the starter so I had it tested and was fine so the next item I think is the ignition switch. I looked in the GM manual and haven't been able to find a replacement procedure so I did a google search and found all different ways from easy to complicated so anyone hear replace there's from a 78-82?
A guy with a 80 said all he did was remove the bottom steering column bolts so it gave him room to remove two bolts holding the switch. I'm hoping it's that easy...

If you've never pulled the column, it would be a good time to replace the column to firewall insulator/gasket/whatever it's called and also possibly the lower column bearing.
