Happy as A Pig In Mud! '69 Vert On The Way
Hi All,
I know I haven't been active here for a while, but I DO lurk around here often, AND I see some of you on Facebook.
Thankfully, I have learned a TON from these boards, and I again thank everyone that I've learned something from.
Many of you know that I've been searching for another 'Vette for a long time now (I HAD a '81 many Moons ago, that I sold).
Yup, I still have my Pro-Street Monte too.
Well, yesterday I pulled the trigger on this sweet little setup.
'69 Convertible, Blueprinted & Balanced 350, w/Muncie 4 Speed, and a matching custom trailer too boot.
Hoping to take delivery in a week or so.

Congrats Ben on buying a beauty. I see that you are in Centereach NY. You should look up my friend John Markel. He owns my first corvette a 65 365 hp convertible as well as a 67 BB coupe and a 72. He is a great guy and loves to talk Corvettes. I visited him last year and we had a blast. You should be able to find him very easily. I do not have his number handy but I can get it for you if you need it. I know that he would love to see your car.

Hi Ben, I grew up in Syosset and that is one sweet ride. Cruise out to Jones Beach................. the Hamptons on an Sunday morning, NICE!

A lot of my Monte friends go to Robert Moses on Sunday, BUT, I couldn't bring the Monte because my neighbors would kill as I'd have fire-it-up at about 5:40AM or so to heat it up and leave my house at about 6AM, and the Monte shakes the house 4 1/2" exhaust. LOL...
Should be able to do much more cruisin' with the new arrival though.

Actually, I was wondering the same thing about the color.
Can anyone help us with Griff2002's question, on the "official" color???
Come to think of it, the car had been re-painted a while back, so I'm not yet certain if it's the original color or not.
I know the car is coming with a bunch of assorted paperwork, and I'm hoping to find a build sheet somewhere in the mix or on the car itself.
