Default Where making built a special C3 ?

Hi,
i come from France, so sorry for my poor US language...
For the moment i am the owner of a C6 z06 full black, but i would like making build a c3 :

- C3 chrome bumper
- new frame like the "SRIII"
- LS7 motor
- C6 drivetrain and suspension
- new fuel tank....

But, where could i find serious custom store who will be able to build it ?
Could you give me some serious adress ?

Call up Mick Stockdale at SRIII. He will build you just a frame or a complete car or anything in between.

Also, check out Street Shop in Athens, Alabama. I saw their work at Bloomington Gold. Quite impressive.

Thanks,
George

Go to this site: www.vette2vette.com and talk to Jason Francis. He and his father Dan have built some very nice restomod Corvettes using SRIII frames. His phone number is 815-673-6200.
You may tell him I referred you.

What you want to do is, I think, possible. I belong to a Corvette Club, and for many years, there was a man who would bring his specialty car to our car shows. 15 or 10 meters away, you would think you were looking a a 1967 (C2) Corvette convertible. If you walked closer, and knew C2's, you'd realize that this "C2" was a little wider than a real C2. But the front and rear bumpers looked exactly correct for the body. It was in fact a C5 Corvette with a C2 look alike body...it was not an exact C2 body..a C2 body had been laser scanned, entered into a graphics computer program, and the original C2 body was computer/graphics stretched to fit a C5 convertible body. The computer graphics scanned body, stretched, was then used to create fiberglass molds to create a C2 modified body that would fit on a C5 convertible. This morphed C2, when you looked up close, you could see that the interior was stock C5.

I would be sure that the company that produced a stretched C2 body to fit a C5, could do the same for a C3 to C6. You'd want to hope that they have already done the body molds...the first person that wants a custom computer graphics stretched C3 body for a C6 is going to have to pay big $$$. If you're the second person, I assume it won't be so expensive.

I think there is a company that has a custom frame designed to fit a stock C3, and the custom frame will allow C6 suspension parts to be fitted.

To pursue your quest, my opinion is that you absolutely must start by subscribing to Vette Magazine. Telephone 386-447-6385. Mail address is Vette, PO Box 420235. Palm Coast, FL; 32142-0235. (FL = Florida). Back issues will be very pertinent to your inquiry.

For example, one of the advertisers in Vette is SEIII Motorspots, Telephone 815-462-4138. sriimotorsports.com. They apparently make tube frames for C3's that are designed for C6 suspensions.

I cant help you with a company but on the language issue, try to find someone who speaks both very well,
with the type build and the money you will be spending it would be heart breaking if someone on either end didn't understand something and it was a big mess....

A very good point "Bats".
Also what's the budget? You are easily talking a 6 figure build in US currency.
