Default 1977 L82 What's it worth?

I am thinking about putting my 77 L-82 up for sale. I have owned the car since 1989 and I just don't drive it anymore. The chassis reads 136,000 miles right now and the car drives great. In those 26+ years the car has had a lot done to it:
- 355 w/L98 aluminum heads, ported and finished. LT-1 solid lifter cam, roller rockers. Weiand Stealth intake with Demon 750 VS carb. It is not the original engine - it was replaced by a dealer in the early 80's. Its a GM service replacement block.
- 700r4 conversion. The trans was professionally built, with a custom torque convertor. 82 CE shifter plate and custom TV linkage setup.
- 1 5/8 headers to true dual exhaust, 3 chamber flowmaster with a balance tube.
- Vette Brakes o ring calipers
- Hydratech braking hyrdraboost conversion.
- Vette Brakes adjustable strut rods
- Converted factory delco radio with mp3 input and external amp.

The car was painted in 1994 and it needs a strip and repaint. The finish looks good from 10 ft, but there are problems with the previous paint reacting with the last paint that was on there ( long story with ppg and their BS about DP90 epoxy primer). Car originally had a luggage rack on it, holes were filled in - but the outlines are showing. Seats were redone in 1992 and are still in good shape, car needs door panels and carpet. What is there is not terrible, but worn.

A few other points:
- Windshield was replaced - frame looked good no problems.
- Car was sold in Ohio and we purchased it in Michigan - didn't see much rain or inclement weather over its life - frame is in good shape.
- I have spoken to everyone that has owned the car, have paperwork back to its original dealer order in 1977.
- The heater core sprung a leak, I have the replacement part - was going to put it in before putting car on the market.
- New tires this year, nothing fancy - Falken 225/70/15.

There is more detail to the car - I am just trying to get an idea of what you guys think on value. The car is an animal and it drives really well, I hate to get rid of it - but it just sits in the garage unused. Let me know your thoughts.

Derek.-

When you determine an asking price, then post a thread in Cars For Sale, thanks.

You can check Ebay completed auctions for sold prices and compare to the condition of your car. As Ed T stated; more details and pictures would help those here.

Average for 1977 from Hagerty
Base $10K
L82 $12k

No matter what you ask for it - start high. You can always come down in price.

This +1 because no matter how reasonable your asking price is, people will always want to talk you down a couple thousand from it.
