350 engine 3965775 2-22-73 crate motor
Hi Guys,
I found this sticker on my air conditioner unit. After researching, I have found that it pretains to the engine not the ac unit at all... (I am not a mechanic by trade...lol) I have found alot of info on the web about this engine. They sticker says it is not meant for the street. Is anyone familar with this engine? Does anyone have any advice on any upgrades to make it more road worthy? The engine is in beautiful condition and shows well. It runs great as well. I do plan on running her down the road, as soon as I finish a few projects. Thanks Bill

Looks like the part number is for the valve cover sticker.

Hi Mike, That is one of the results I came up with on the Web. My sticker was placed on the Air conditioner unit, which really through me through a loop. My research tells me there is no smog components on the engine. I am wondering if I should install anything to make it better for being driven on the street.

Unless smog on a 72(?) is required in your State, there is no benefit of installing smog equipment. Your engine will not run any better. Tune it up properly and drive it.

Hi Guys Thanks For The Replies
I have a 1979 L82, I live in New Jersey. I registered the car as a normal operating vehicle, meaning I did not use historic or restricted mile registration. Unfortanetly this does not make me exempt from inspections. I will have to do further research to fiqure out what best fits my needs. I do not want to restricted in when I have time to drive, or even drive it back and forth to work.
