No pic of engine.
Don't like those wheels tho... Also no hard top. But these are minor things.
Appears to be the correct tri-power car...

Ebay shows he will take a little over $42K.
It looks unrestored except for the paint so I would expect more money to fix things if you plan on driving it.
The caps can be changed easy enough.

Just curious. How does the 2014 repaint affect the "survivor" status of this car?

From the tank sticker it appears NOT to have PS.

Hi Steve,
"Repaint affect".
The word Survivor (with a capital S) belongs to Bloomington Gold and describes a car that has been presented for Survivor judging.
There are 4 areas that are judged, exterior, interior, mechanical and chassis. Obviously a car that has been painted won't pass the exterior portion of the judging.
The word 'survivor' (with a small s) is a free for all word used indiscriminately like the words 'matching numbers'.
It seems to be mainly used to generate sales interest.
Please let me caution you to not get too excited about car's you haven't seen in person! Pictures, and the descriptions along with them, often don't hold up under close scrutiny.
Regards,
Alan

After thinking it over and taking Alan's advice to heart I decided to pass on the 68 "original survivor".
I felt the seller was rushed to sell, not giving me the proper time to check it out. The stuff always looks heat in pictures.
Although it seemed like a beauty in originality, I decided to not get caught up in the originality game and once it was painted it kinda lost the "survivor" appeal I saw in it. Oh well..
Still a nice car.

My 68 is a D13 and it is #4473. I will sell it to you twice for $48k! (Well, maybe 1 1/2 times)
It is a very nice looking car. Great paint, I love the copper color. #321 is a super early car. No way it's a D13 Also, 425 is dark orange interior which it also obviously isn't. I wouldn't get an automatic unless I was totally in love with the 68 model year and my legs couldn't shift.
I like that 2nd one much much better. Looks to be a real L68, 4spd.

Hi,
It looks like a car that might be worth checking out.
The wording in the ad seems to be by someone not all that familiar with 68-72 cars. That could be to your advantage or disadvantage.
I wonder how they ended up with this Corvette since it appears many of their listings are for trucks and suvs?
Regards,
Alan

Appears to be all original except for some typical stuff like hoses, radiator etc.. Even the door ajar, seat belt, and head lamp indicator lights work. Going over it more the next few days.

68 convert
I followed the above posts with interest. I just got a 68 convert with VIN 194678S402101 with trim tag date C16 (October 16,1967), so the dates on the ebay car do not line up correctly. If you just want a weekend cruiser, rather than a show car it will probably be perfect. Just for info- there are a number of inspection services that will go look at the car, drive it and give you a report, if the car is too far away from you. I used one advertised on Hemmings that cost me $275 and confirmed the car was as advertised.
